Frequently Asked Questions

Most signage manufacturers are focused on delivering a product, not defining a strategy. We sit in front of that process. Our role is to make sure your signage is consistent, fit for purpose and commercially sound before any manufacturing decisions are made. Because we're independent, our recommendations are based purely on what's right for you, your brand and your estate, not what a supplier wants to sell.

We're not tied to any signage manufacturer or installer. We don't receive commission or incentives from suppliers, which means our advice is unbiased. We specify what's required, and you're free to procure it in the way that suits you best.

Usually in three areas:

  • Consistency — aligning signage across multiple sites
  • Clarity — removing guesswork with defined standards and specifications
  • Cost control — avoiding unnecessary redesign, duplication and reactive spend.

A lot of clients come to us when signage has become inconsistent or difficult to manage at scale.

Most projects follow a structured process: we review your brand and existing signage, carry out site surveys, develop a signage family, and produce detailed signage packs for each location. We can then support through procurement and installation if required.

A clear, practical signage pack, detailed enough that different suppliers can price and deliver consistently without reinterpretation at each site. It typically includes sign types and locations, sizes, materials and finishes, fixing details and technical guidance, and visual references for consistency. Everything is built to be used repeatedly across your estate.

Yes. In many cases we work alongside existing contractors or internal teams. Our role is to provide the structure, standards and documentation they can work from, improving consistency without disrupting established relationships.

Yes, we can, and often do. Some clients use us purely for consultancy and documentation. Others ask us to stay involved through manufacture and installation to ensure everything is delivered as intended.

Yes. We are based in the North East but work with clients across the whole of the UK, from single site projects to multi-site programmes spanning multiple regions.

It depends on the scope, number of sites, level of detail and support required. We typically price per project or per site, and we scope each engagement upfront so you know exactly what you're committing to before work begins. We're always happy to define a clear starting point.

Momentum B is built on over 50 years of combined industry experience, spanning multi-site rollouts, brand implementation and complex environments where consistency and practicality both matter.

We'll start with a conversation to understand your estate, your current challenges and what you're trying to achieve. From there, we can recommend a sensible starting point, whether that's a single site review or a wider programme.

This varies depending on scope and complexity, but we're happy to discuss timelines during an initial conversation and structure the project around your requirements.
